Im with Dodgeman. Unless you have the tools and the experience you should take it to someone who does, or find a replacement.
Changing the fluid and filter in the transmission (especially), may not work. The only way to be sure that all of the water is out of the tranny (including the torque converter) is to disassemble it completely and clean it all out. I would consider a new torque converter just to be safe.
Flushing will not completely remove all of the water and any other mud, sand or dirt you may have bathed your truck in.
I know it sounds expensive and tedious but if you are going to do it, do it right the first time. Doing a half-@#$ job now wil just cost you more in the long run by having to do it again.

well, everyone knows the basics about short showers and no running water when you clean your teeth but here are some other ideas. where do i start, some people can be fanatical about saving water , so it's really up to you how far you want to go. eg. always have a bath instead of a shower. if you want to go further then you can then let out half the bath water when it's cold and the next time you have a bath, or the next person (it doesn't matter) just add hot water to the cold which it already there. the water will definitely be clean enough to use as 50% of it is fresh (as long as noone weed in it). i have a friend who has a shower with the plug in. he then uses the water in the bath to water his indoor plants, he scoops some in a bucket to flush his toilet instead of using more clean water, and also soaks his dirty clothes in the bath before washing them. lastly, i lived very cheaply in korea and egypt for a while and i went back to the old days of having stand up washes. all i needed was a basin of water. if i was washing my hair then i'd do that first. after that a sponge down with a very wet soapy washer, a rinse off with a non-soapie washer and towel dry. this is a quick method, especially on cold nights ha ha lastly, my sister re routed her drainage pipe from her washing machine into a tank. the tank water called grey water was then used on her garden. good luck

You should be able to flush it out, and run it with fresh oil, then change it again and add anti-leak additives, you may have to change a seal. Generally they do an immediate fluid change when they retrieve a vehicle that has been submerged before driving, a friend of mine in Canada fishes equipment out that has gone through the ice and been submerged for months or years, but those do have to have to be torn down and rebuilt.

Water reacts with the glue used to hold the friction material to the friction plates, causing the material to come off. You will need to do a complete tear-down and inspection.

i own a repair shop, and you,ll be better off letting someone else take care of this one,,it will have to be totally dis-mantled,,and cleaned out,,and rebuilt,,and you probably don't have all the necessary tools it would take,,i probably got close to a hundred grand in tools right now,,and i probably haven't got everything it takes to do it with,,i always send mine out to be done, this way you get a good warranty with it,,
