If you are using Windows XP (or other Windows OS) you can do a system restore to the day you first fired up the computer. The other option would be to re-format your hard drive using the system disks that came with the computer. This is done by starting up your computer with the System CD instead of the hard drive.

Before you start you can burn a CD with any data or files you think you might want.

Good Luck

EZ, ok here, lets say for example your computer was a gateway like mine, you need to go out to best buy and ask them for a boot disk, buy the disk witch will probley some type of exspensive, i think i got mine for $70 i cant remember, any way put the CD, in then Restart The Computer, then when your PC comes to its black screen with all the white letters and stuff on it, down at the bottom it will say to press a F button, Mines F11,im not sure if all PC's are F11 or not but maybe,But look down in the corner for it say that, and you have to press it quick cause i gives little time, then you have to go through bunch of other stuff im sure you can figure out your self,im going to go with out telling all that beacause it all pretty mutch easy stuff like questions and it takes a long time, hope i helped

that would take a while to do. You would have to uninstall every single program within the control panel. Go into the system registry, and if you wanted, delete preferences and files that you generally don't need. But on the other hand, if you refreshed your computer totally with the cd's then you would take time to do that, and then take time to install drivers for anything new you got for the computer, and then download every single update since you bought the computer.. either way your taking time.. if you really truly want it "just like new" then use the recovery cd's that came with the song.

If you have the Original Restore Disks, Boot from the original disk and format. Then use the original Restore to re-install Windows. After Windows is completely installed, re-install all the Hardware drivers and any Software that was on the disk originally. If you have any questions contact me at cio@transatlanticcreations.com

When you bought it they should have given you a "Quick Restore." cd/dvd. If so, then just put that in and follow instructions. If not, then if you have XP you can restore it to the day you bought it.

shut it off and turn it back on and it will say something (can't remember what but it's like F-10 you have to hit and it'll reset itself. Try it a couple times and you'll see what i'm talking about. you have to hit it pretty fast.
