Just wondering. A short cut looks good on me objectively. I don't have masculine features at all. Now it's shoulder length but I'm considering chopping it again. However say I'm trying to impress a certain guy, and I want to make sure he doesn't think I'm butch or anything like that. Would it make that much difference?

Two schools of thought here: If you DO look good with short hair go for it. But long hair has it's advantages.
When I think of short hair on a woman I'm thinking Kate Capshaw since 2000. I'm not thinking Rosie O'Donnell when she 'came out'. Yikes, another dyke on patrol!
There's a difference between having short hair and looking butch. Chances are: if you're heterosexual then no worries.
Recommendation: do what you want. If the guy likes you he'll like you regardless. If not, oh well.

Men are all different and some prefer long hair while others prefer short. If you show real interest in this man then your hair wont matter. The man I am with now prefers long hair, but when we met and started dating I had really short hair. So I guess it really depends on how shallow the man you want is. Do what makes you happy and be yourself. Impress him with what you have not with the length of your hair!

Yes, it would make a difference to have your hair longer like down to your butt or even better mid-thigh. There's too many guys out there with pony tails, shoulder length hair and even sometimes mid-back trying to look like girls. I'm am much less attracted to a girl with short hair as opposed to long hair covering her entire back.

I've had every length hair, along with every color and style. Most guys do like long hair. But from my own expeirence, if I like my hair and feel good, they like that too. Guys like a confident woman. My current guy is a complete cowboy, from the top of his hat the the bottom of his boots. I'm a little more punk with 2 toned red and black hair and a nose ring. The thing is I like me, and he likes that.

They'd like us to think they do. Long hair on women is one more thing on the long list of weird and slightly oppressive customs encouraged by the western patriarchal social structure. The most positive attention I got from guys was when I had my hair very short. I eventually grew it out because I couldn't stand it on my neck and in my face constantly, but if you like your short hair then cut it short. Most guys aren't as shallow as they pretend to be when it comes to our looks!

In HS I had really really long hair.... but then I cut it VERY short one day. I still had plenty of guys hit on me but they all prefered the long hair. I liked my short hair so I didn't care what the guys thought who didn't like it.

No it depends on the guys tastes like some like people with brown hair while others like blond etc. I don't have a preference.

for me the woman's hair length has little to do with whether or not im attracted to her. her smarts, her personality,what she like 2 do 4 fun & so on & so on is atleast as important if not more so as impartant as the length of her hair

I like a girl w ith beautiful long flowing blonde hair but since you aren't dating me, it doesn't matter. Your hair length is your own preference, a decent guy, unlike me, would not care how long your hair is.

Depends on the guy.. I know quite a few guys who can't stand long hair. I know more guys that like long hair, but it shouldn't matter how long your hair is if a guy likes you.
