It's not unusual, my son started with the same problem around 6. I was stunned at first, too. Keep encouraging good hygiene and start having her apply deodorant each morning. I know for my son I had a heck of a time finding one that didn't make him smell like aftershave, finally choose Mitchum's unscented and it work's great.

This problem runs in my family, all the girsls hit puberty early, so my grandmother used to make us powder puffs of bicarbonate of soda so after a bath we would use it when needed, because this helps to stay odor free longer. most deodorants are made for adults and can break out the skin. my grandbaby is 6, she started around 5 to get this bo.

bicarbonate of soda
6- it can be used like natural deodorant, the only thing is don't do it too heavy as paste, it might bother the child, wet armpits and apply small amount, Also you can put bicarbonate with a little bit one of water in the axilas and to scrub it if they are stained, after bathing. also in the day before the bath the results begin to be seen after a month.

My daughter started at five. The doctor told me some kids sweat glands "kick in" earlier then others. The hard part was finding a deodorant that she could use that would not break her out because most deodorants are made for adults. I had to use baby powder under her arms until she got about 9 years old.

Nothing is wrong with her. You need to teach her that she needs to use deodorant every day after she takes her bath. Save her embarrassment and ridicule from other kids and make sure she uses deodorant. If she is told that it's just part of growing up she should understand that it's perfectly normal.

She is just starting puberty a little early. Get her some deoderant but watch the ingredients. I would get one that is made for teens or one for sensitive skin. It may be worth talking to her pediatrician about too.

Buy some deoderant and have her start wearing it. My little brother started wearing it at 8 years old so I dont think its very off. Some kids need it before others.

No there's nothing wrong with her. Just teach her to shower and wear deordant. her sweat glands are produceing early. All kids get it if it's at seven or ten all kids get it just like all kids go through puberity. it's just one of those things.

Welcome to puberty proudmama. Get her some deodorant. My son was 6 when he got his first stick. He doesn't need it everyday, but I have him put it on everyday anyway to get him used to the idea. He's 8 now.
