He contacted you first, even though it was awhile ago. So you contacting him to ask about his father is fine. It may be a bit awkward at first, but if you're truly interested in his father he will understand. If you're asking about his father to get closer to him, don't bother, you're probably wasting your time.

Sounds to me that you are still hung up on the ex, You are deeply connected to the ex or you would not give a crap about your ex boyfriend father. Im not sure who ended it between your ex and you, but it sounds like you are still emotionally involved in the ex and his life. Did you break up in bad terms because you were involved with his father that went to Iraq? If i get thumbs down its because your details suck. Im just wondering why you are worrying about the father and what are your intentions of doing so. We all worry, when someone we know or love goes to War, I just can't figure out your intentions without more detail. Are you worried because you have seen the news and know that many soldiers have died in this war, more then needed. OR? Are you worried if your ex's dad is in harms way. You need to add more detail to your question before anyone can possibly respond. The war in Iraq and the soldiers over there is a heated topic for all. Perhaps, you are more worried about what is going on in the war, and if this is the case. A call would be nice if that is where your heart is, if its with the soldiers. If you are using the father going to war tho to get in touch with ex who you had bad terms with to get back with him. That in my opinion is not only wrong, BUT VERY VERY WRONG.

Oh My God! What! ok now i'm composed lol. once you've emotions for him tell him per chance he has no theory that you're nonetheless in love with him. i truly do not recognize the kind of individual he's so i'm now unlikely to guage. sit down him down and clarify because in his head he in simple terms have a magnificent x lady friend it truly is heliping out at the same time as situations get difficult. ok that replaced into my composed answer. on the different hand...get him out what are you waiting for the guy is thoroughly utilising you. i have been there and recognize even years once you're going to seem again and imagine how stupid you've been to save him there. there are sufficient homeless charities to assist him...i do not care the way you broke up, he has obviously moved on. Do it in a well mannered way and say you're having visitors or your moms and dads or something yet get him out.

If he was fine calling you to say hi, why shouldnt it be fine for you to call him? Call him up, you never know what might happen. Sometimes things happens for reasons that we never really understand but in the end, it all leads to where you should be.... good luck

if it is just to ask about his father then it's okay to call, i broke up on bad terms with my ex, but her father and i stayed on good terms.
