check out GoCityKids.com to see what's available in your area. It's a great site. I already checked and Chicago is listed with LOADS of activities and ideas for her.
Best of luck and have fun!

Hi, My daughter (4 years) has just entered competitive cheer & dance through Elite a top national company. It is a bit pricey but she is doing great her confidance, fitness etc. Here is a link to the Chicago Elite through MidWest, however there is more than 1 Elite Cheer in Illinois you can contact them for the closest. You should check them out, you will not be disappointed.

Check if your city has a recreation department that offers activities for youth. My city has all sorts of sports programs that anyone can join.

Why don't you let her choose? Softball was fun for me...But if she likes cheerleading and dances, she may be too girly for that.
A lot of girls like soccer!
Biking and running and swimming are my favourites.
What about ice skating or roller skating? A lot of girls love that.
