I am a dental nurse so may be able to help. Is the tooth root filled,? in which case it could be a residual infection or abscess that has blown up again. Have you knocked the front teeth?. This could cause a root filled or healthy tooth to die and then cause an abscess. It could also be something as simple as you have food stuck up and around the crown and gum (they can be tricky to clean) thus causing an infection which can be cleared up very easily with a scale and polish and a dose of antibiotics. If you need a new root filling this can be done through your crown but it is better if it is removed and cleaned. All of these can be diagnosed with a simple xray. Good luck, make sure you go to the dentist. As with everything the longer you leave it the worse it will get. It could cause other problems on adjacent teeth.

If they are blistering, they could be burns. Could she have contacted hot metal or a substance that would have burned her skin in those locations? Sometimes ringworm will manifest with round sores about a quarter inch across that blister before rupturing and forming scabs. Probably the only way to be sure would be to have your vet take a look. Most of the common skin lesions horses develop are not blistering lesions, so just a call to the vet with a bit of history might help you to get at the cause.

Without a doubt, you have an abscess on a front tooth. The only way to deal with this is to see your dentist and get started on that root canal treatment. There is no home remedy.

Sounds like you have an abcess. You'll probably be put on some antibiotics to treat the infection and hopefully your dentist will give you some pain medication to get through this. This will not go away on it's own. It will only get worse the longer you wait. Please call your dentist ASAP.

Do NOT put ice on it! get to the dentist right away- you have an infection, will probably need a root canal and a new crown.
