Your BMI (body mass index) is fine - 23.2 is well within the normal range. I think you're just right - but you can always ask your pediatrician if you're worried.

check out this website:

Your 11 - your weight is still within normal. Just watch your diet and don't eat pointless foods (like chips, sweets, etc). My 13 yr old slimmed back down by laying off the junk food and filling up on stuff like vegi's, fruits, yogurt....there's lots of good tasting healthy foods - also stay away from soft drinks and drink water or sugar free koolaids instead- that alone will make a big difference and also help keep your complexion clean because if you haven't started the zit phase you probably will soon! Good luck and don't stress over your weight - Your too young and NOT too fat!!!

Different magazines, books and website will tell you different things. Some try to tell you that you have to be supper thin other tell you that you are normal when you are over weight. The easiest way to tell if you are over weight or not is to see if you clothes fit. If they fit and they look good then it shouldn't matter if you are over weight or not. However if this doesn't satisfy you, you can always check your BMI (Body mass Index), it is often very accurate. just look up BMI on the web and fill in your height and weight and it should tell you if you are overweight or not.

you are not overweight.
You should not use the scales to decide if you are overweight Don't look at super models and compare yourself to them either.
Your body is going to go through a lot of changes before you become an adult. Your only concern should be eating right and getting enough exercise. You shouldn't be overly concerned about your weight. Don't obsess over it. Enjoy being 11.

Your young and your metabolism hasn't peaked yet, ( metabolism is the way your body burns calories ) don't get crazy over it, regular soda is most likely your problem, sugar= overweight, have fun and worry about your weight when your an adult like the rest of us do.

well you are a little bit, but you are so young, and you haven't even hit your growth spurt, just make sure you have plenty of time outside, wether it's sports, or dancing, or anything to get you moving. Running is an excellent thing to do, it's great for your heart, and will keep you in shape for the rest of your life!
