Why do you want to breed them? If you're just looking to make money, that's horrible and you should find the poor puppy a new home immediately. If you're trying to teach your kids about sex, get hamsters. If you want to become a serious breeder, talk to vets and other breeders about tactics.
My reccomendation, have her spayed and the male nuetered. They'll both be happy and healthier if you do.

If you are determined to breed her ask your vet there is a dog contraceptive but its only effective if given at exactly the right time. So talk to your vet before she comes into her first season (6-8 months old). Or you could just board your male at a kennel when she does come into heat. If your worried about the rest of the time then you dont know enough about dogs to breed.

The only time that you would need to keep your male away from her is when she's "in heat," otherwise he shouldn't really be a bother to her. When she is in heat however, it's best to get a dog diaper for her from the pet store, and not to bring her very close to other dogs, especially the male in your house. Separate them with a door or a wall.

You can go to the pet store and either get some device for her or him, for when she comes into heat.
