I have epilepsy for over 17 yrs, I developed it after recieving a close head injury in a car accident. My EEG shows abnormalities, I will have random firings in my brain. The activity increases if I'm tired. I must maintain a regular sleep schedule. They did a waking and a sleeping EEG and I had abnormalities on both. I was put on anti-seizure meds, and they have changed over the years. I have been on Trileptal for about 7 yrs now, and it works great and it does not affect my liver or kidneys. I just have to have a yearly sodium level drawn.

Your husband would desire to have his blood levels (seizure drug) checked besides as a CBC. sometimes seizure drugs can attain intense/low levels and reason "nonepileptic seizures". I even have temperal lobe epilepsy with 2ndary generalized seizures. Too upload to this i'm going to be having "non-epileptic seizures. those would properly be of a psychological (someone's way of coping with rigidity) and/or physiological nature (actual issue not on the subject remember of electric interest interior the strategies). the two seizure is rather stressful for every physique including a DR to tell the adaptation. What can happen is his physique starts off to "reject" itself (whitecount is going up and a few thing happens to platelets mimicking LUPUS, that's talked approximately as drug brought about LUPUS it is an autoimmune illness that would reason nonepileptic seizures). Low blood sugar may additionally reason seizures, there are lots of issues that would reason all forms of seizures i could get 2+ comments. attempt to observe and notice what he's doing while seizures happen. My seizures worsen after stressful exercising while my coronary heart fee is going way up. I even have an wonderful coronary heart beat. sturdy success Pat
