Whyt am I a nerd?

i always help people with their computers and I am always called a nerd. i don't get it! people are so cruel. What should I do? My nextdoor neighbor is the worst. He always comes to my house and tells me off.

Don't be so accommodating! If they can't show some respect, let them whistle! Say you have some jobs that pay cash to do first, then see who's smiling!

First of all....why the hell are you letting him come back over? Cuss him out and tell him to piss off, then you could hack his comp and send him like a million Trojans. LOL!!
Secondly, your not a nerd, people have just stereotyped those of you who like computers.
You don't hear anyone calling Bill Gates a nerd on the news do you?
Just because you have since enough to understand the things that the people who don't know the first thing about computers, doesn't make you a nerd, it makes you someone who will always be able to find a job, because you have the knowledge to not only fix one, you can tell someone how to like being in a tech support job.
Move to Austin,TX there are jobs everywhere their, so I'm told by my friend who lives their. He works for X-Box 360 tech support. He gets paid $10/hr to sit on his *** and tell people how to work their gaming system. Which isn't bad for a single guy.

i am a super computer geek and i am also super smart at school, so very often, i get called a nerd. but i dont really mind. all you need to do is to think of it as a compliment. why would they call u a nerd in the first place? because you're smart, and they're jealous, so they want to make u feel bad. or u can just ignore them. and about your neighbor, there are always little things u can do with the computer to get him back...;)

well im sorry to tell you but, it may turn out you have a slight case of nerdism. But you never know, you may be a slight geek. I don't know you in person so i can't really put my skills to the test, for your nextdoor neighbor i say try concocting a nice experiment such as 'revenge' like leaving fruit baskets from ppl you know he's crushing on or playing a mischeivious prank. Nothing wrong with being a nerd. Better than being called an 'airhead', 'thicko' or 'retard'.

Yep, people are cruel but there's worse things people namecall with! Consider being called a nerd another way of someone indicating that they can tell you're smart! Next time they say 'nerd', say "Yep, I'm smart. I know."

i don't know why everybody just assumes people who can fix computers are nerds. it doesn't make sense to me... maybe they just assume ur a supergenius and so they call u a nerd. but even if they do call u a nerd, i'm a nerd too so don't feel bad.

Start charging them for your help and stop letting your neighbor come over. If you look like a nerd and want to change your image then join a gym and start working out and change your wardrobe.

i also don't get it. but people have the deffinition nerd in their head "someone who is intrested in school work, and wastes all their time on academics". of course, they're wrong. they just don't like the things "nerds" like. so really, they could be called "nerds" too. it's really their problem- not yours.
