In the areas surrounding the neck, is there a specific area where there is a large number of nerve endings or perhaps an artery where if one bits hard enough and ruptures the veins, one can kill someone simply by biting down? Please refer to 24 Season 6 Episode 1 where Jack Bauer killed a terrorist by biting down in an area below the left side of his neck if you are not clear on my question.

Carotid artery. Yes it would kill you and it is directly under the skin.

Your carotid arteries run up each side of your neck. It would take one hell of a bite to do it. There's a lot of muscle in your neck that's superficial to theses arteries. I don't think human teeth would do the trick to easily. This was more like a role from one of Keiffer's movies....."that's blood Michael".......
Not to mention being stabbed in the brachial plexus, which he miraculously recovered from.
How about simpler problems with the episode...like any federal agency would trade their best man for the location of a terrorist...assinine. Everyone knows we dont negotiate with terrorists.

there is a major artery in your neck. ever tried to feel your pulse by pressing your fingers up under your jaw bone under the ear? well thats it. if you slit that open you can bleed to death in like 3 minutes or something. so it can be done but it would be dam messy.
