Yes, I have! And in fact, study has caused me to change my religion twice.

Learning is for whole life.. i want to quote something that i read before what Prophet Muhammad says..
Learn and find knowledge like u will live forever, and pray like u will die tomorrow.
Well, thats what i'm trying to do.. always learn about my religion and at the same time i love to know about other religions too.. now i make research more on Christianity..
There are a lot of information can be find in internet but we ourselves must be very wise to learn..
the key is to understand the knowledge and use our intelligent not our emotions to get the right thing.. thats what brain for..

maybe one in five thousand have really delved into their religious beliefs, but less than one in a hundred thousand really know much more than a few of its tenets and the foundation on which they are made.
i have many books on religion, as well as the "holy" books themselves. there is very little difference in what they profess, but vast differences in what they practice. none practice any of the true tenets they preach, but they sure talk a good excuse.
their most important, and common, idea is peace, but they are so filled with hatred and hypocrisy they are of no value to anyone except those who use it for their own purposes and claim powers they never had, and will never have.

I am fortunate in some ways that I am a convert. A convert typically has to take a course about the faith, and you usually at some point speak to the priest, and typically there is a lot of studying on your own (something I am given to anyway.)
It gave me a chance to really understand what I was getting into, not just with my heart, but with my head. When the time came for my confirmation, I was truly ready, and I am grateful for the long catechumen process that got me to that point.

I have 2 years of theology classes, I've been Wiccan for 15 years, have read all the major religious writings, have friends from all kinds of religious backgrounds, including a Rabbi, so on and so on. I find religions to be very interesting.

I follow the Bible. I don't need some religious person to tell me what to believe, I believe what is in my heart after reading the Bible. I read and study it every day, so my answer to your question is yes, I have studied my religion. As far as having discussions and going to classes, if I was interested in what someone else thought about my religion, why bother even having one? It's a personal relationship.

I have learned things from many religions and I have pieced together what makes the most sense to me into my own personal religion - so I would say yes, I have really studied my religion, but it grows and changes all the time - just like me.
Peace!

Well, being a member of the clergy, I've certainly studied mine. But what really deepens my understanding is studying somebody elses. It's like reading 10 translations of the same foreign text.

I have studied mine and several others. Only people who actively take an interest in religeon would be looking here so your poll is going to show that most people have. The ones who don't are looking at the cyber-porn pages.
