I think this verse fits them, by their fruit you will know them. They seem to fit every caution and warning mentioned in the passage. I beleive them to be false and not of God. My opinion then would be, I agree .

Firstly there are many version of the bible, but regarding asking a question next time please include the verse.
if you study and analyse you will notice that Jesus prophesied that there would be TRUE and false prophets in the future (Matthew 7:15-20).(Please read the hebrew version as it goe deep on the meaning)
as follows
Matthew 7:15-20 (New International Version)
A Tree and Its Fruit
15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
(to understand it more deeply please read the hebrew version )
(WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT MOHAMMED (PEACE BE UPON HIM) THE PROPHET OF ISLAM
http://www.islamworld.net/Muhammad.in.Bible.html
(THE ABOVE LINK WORKS NOW)
Also states in the Qur' an (last revelation of God) there will be many signs before the day of judgement day (minor & major) and one of the being..
There will be many false prophets but God tells as that prophet Muhammad is the last and the seal of the Prophet.
God tells as in the Qur' an that the bible has been changed (not the original), Islam agrees some verses of the bible because God confirms it in the Qur' an. i.e
Bible:
Deuteronomy 6:4
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.
Mark 12:29
The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Qur' an
112:1 SAY: "He is the One God:
112:2 "God the Eternal, the Uncaused Cause of All Being.
112:3 "He begets not, and neither is He begotten;
112:4 "and there is nothing that could be compared with Him.
'' The 10 Commandments'' in the Bible and Confirmation in the Qur' an''
Bible:
Exodus 12: 1-17 & Deuteronomy 5: 6-21
1. Thou shall not take any
God except one God.
2. Thou shall make no
image of God.
3. Thou shall not use
God's name in vain.
4. Thou shall honor thy
mother and father.
5. Thou shall not steal.
6. Thou shall not lie or give
false testimony.
7. Thou shall not kill.
8. Thou shall not commit adultery.
9. Thou shall not covet thy neighbors
wife or possessions.
10. Thou shall keep the Sabbath holy.
Qur' an: (Last revelation of God)
1. There is no God except
one God (47:19)
2. There is nothing whatsoever
like unto Him (42:11)
3. Make not God's name an
excuse to your oaths (2:224)
4. Be kind to your parents if one
or both of them attain old age in thy
life, say not a word of contempt nor
repel them but address them in
terms of honor. (17:23)
5. As for the thief, male or female, cut off
his or her hands, but those who repent
After a crime and reform shall be
forgiven by God for God is forgiving
and kind. (5:38 - 39)
6. They invoke a curse of God if
they lie. (24:7) Hide not the
testimony (2:283)
7. If anyone has killed one person it is as
if he had killed the whole mankind (5:32)
8. Do not come near adultery. It is an
indecent deed and a way for other
evils. (17:32)
9, Do good to your parents, relatives and
neighbors. (4:36)
10. When the call for the Friday Prayer is
made, hasten to the remembrance of
God and leave off your business. (62:9)
There are many, many verses you will find
We believe Jesus is one of the greatest prophet of God and he will return.
We believe that there is only one God and Muhammad is the last prophet of God.

Did matthew pass the test
Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them, but rather to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until Heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of the pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until all things are accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever keeps the commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up, to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause, God gave them up, unto vile affections: for even, their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over, to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.

Based on that passage, we cannot make any sweeping statement about any entire religion. This is because it specifically says that a bad tree cannot bear good fruit, nor a good tree bear bad fruit. But, all religions bear both good and bad fruit. This is because they are made up of individuals. If one wants to judge, you must judge individuals, not whole religions. Some people calling themselves Muslims bear bad fruit. And some people calling themselves Christians bear bad fruit.
Based on this criteria, you would have to say that Christianity does not pass that test.
Please let's not ignore the many many Muslims who are bearing really good fruit. I have several Muslim friends who are kind, giving, and peaceful, and want only to walk in the light of God.

You cant take the religious scriptures of one religion and apply them to others. Every religion out there contradicts every other one in some way. Personally, I do believe Islam to be a religion though.

I don't think it does. For it to do so means inherently that Islam is evil but i don't believe in that. Islam is a tolerant and peaceful religion.

- These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands;mark:16:17

What test do you refer to? If you consider such diverse religions to all be within this category, how can you exclude Islam?
