That depends on where you are in the Tropics
Central and South America they are called New World monkeys:
Marmosets
Tamarins
Spider Monkeys
Capuchin Monkeys
Howler Monkeys
African and some Asian monkeys are called Old World monkeys:
Macaques
Baboons
Colobus (red or white)
Gorillias, Chimps, Orangutans, Bonobos, and Gibbons are not monkeys, they are apes!
