I just want to know if this scar I got after removing a pre-cancerous mole will ever go away or not. Has anyone ever had it go away eventually. How long did it take? And please don't advise me to use mederma cause they don't have that here in Canada and I don't want to wait forever to get it... Anyways, any help suggestions or story about scar healing after surgery would be appreciated...
thanks

The scar will probably never completely go away, but it will lighten considerably and become much less noticeable over time. Keep it moisturized since dry skin doesn't have the ability to heal itself as well, and avoid exposing the area to the sun.

I have the same thing, ive had for several years, its on my back so i dont have to see it.
Try Maderma Cream, its a scar minimizing cream, otherwise it will lighten up and get a bit smaller longer down the rd, but unfortunately it will be visiable for life.

Have you kept the scar out of the sun? Exposing scar tissue to sun makes the scar permenantly discolor making it impossible to blend in with the rest of your skin. Just keep it out of sun.. that's my only advice.

i had a scar from an appendicitis and all u have to do is put a generous amount of lotion on it everyday and it will go away in maybe a week or two.
