Pretty good actually.
Version 6 on up does a good job. The latest version supposedly doesn't even need a lot of "training" to recognize speech patterns.
And the more you use it, the better it gets.
You have to have a computer with at least a 512mb of RAM for it to work well.

My brother is a quadriplegic and uses this program to do his typing. He said it takes quite a while to program it & is somewhat difficult to do so. Also,it can sometimes be a pain to use. You have to say EVERYTHING you want to type. For example, if you were typing the sentence: " I love music." you'd have to say: capital i, space, love, space, music, period. Also, you have to saythings like, "start new paragraph. etc. So, if you have a disablilty that makes you unable to use your hands, it's a great program, but he said if he wasn't disabled it would be a lot quicker just to simply type with your hands.

Training it is supposed to take months from what I have been told...

They should have improved it a lot in the past few years.

The text to speach readers are still pretty awful.
