I go the the gym and take protein shakes but I'm still not the way I want to be. I want to have the nice 6-pack and the nice chest muscles. Any ideas?

nobody thinks his body is perfect. everyone always tries to improve themselves by losing weight or gaining muscles. it's good you lost weight and are motivated now to get fit. best thing to do is not give up. toning and building muscle takes alot of time like months or even years. so don't give up. keep working out, eating healthy (like don't go anorexic or sumthin, just eat little bit of everything) and keep a schedule of your workouts. research online for good workouts too. keep up the good work.

Protein shakes are a half-sham. Eating vegetables and fruits is your best bet, and you will need protein too, if you want strong abs, but those shakes are not the answer. Get the proteins from occaisonal steaks, fairly frequent chicken, or the numerous nuts that are high in proteins and other important nutrients as well. Hatha yoga is really good for abs...i was a pudger in my youth as well, and i found a combo of basketball, tai chi, yoga and qigong to do wonders. It sounds like, from what you want to acheive though, that weight lifting will be necessary for your program. Muscles wont appear out of nowhere, and yoga will tone them up like crazy.

CARDIO! Do you have any cardio in your workout routine? You might have a 6 pack and don't even know it. Until you add in some cardio to your routine then you won't be able to get rid of that little layer of fat over your abs. Do about 30 minutes of cardio 3-4 times a week and you'll see a huge difference. Did you know that jumping rope for 10 minutes is the equivilant to running a 10 minute mile?

Eating right with less junk food. One junk food a day as a treat. Only have breakfast, lunch, dinner, a snack, dessert. No extra eating time. Go running, excerise!

Swim and even...tan?

congrats on ur body tho, you go boy!
(keep at the shakes and working out don't give up!)

I think Pilates is a great way to tone - it is excellent for abs! You could also talk to a professional at the gym you go to and they might be able to give you some ideas!
Good Luck

If you do only one excerise, make it squats. They do the most for the most places on your body. But make sure you do them correctly to get the full benefits.
