Spirituality and religion are totally different. Spirituality is when you're actively seeking God, and religion is when you're actively believing that someone is/saw God and believing their version of it.
If you do not belong to any religion, it is a great step - you are free from any restrictions. Meditate as much as you can, take care of your health, be honest, wish good for others and try to love everyone you know - even your enemies. You will be far ahead of any religious person then.
Do not, however, be closed to any ideas from 'religions', as they might just offer you some good lesson in life. Listen, learn, evaluate, digest, progress.

By the word anymore I wonder if something has happened for you to turn away from your specific religious belief?
The chosen path we take on earth is our own and the joy and grief is our own. We have guides that watch over us and give us direction. The guides are links to a higher power. You do not need to belong or believe in an organized religion to have spirituality. Believe in a higher power as others do but do not name it. Look around you at all that is good, the intricate design in the tiniest to the greatest creatures, birth, the elements all are incredible and it is very hard to think that this is all by chance. There is order and there are rules. Listen to the wind, the pounding surf and the songs of the morning calling you to another day. The new age of spirituality does not deny any religion. The ruler of all worlds and the universe should not be punified by the belief that one religion is the only way to worship. The ruler of everything must not be made petty by jealousy and hatred. You only need to open your eyes and heart to all that is good, to love others as your brother/sister, walk softly, protect the gift of life, the earth, and remember to say thank you Lord.

There are many many alternatives to organized religions if you are seeking spiritual fulfillment. The New Age movement has embraced some of those. You should explore reading lists or sites such as Amazon for books on spiritual subjects which interest you. The quest for spiritual awareness can be an enjoyable exploration and last a lifetime. Enlightenment is a goal worth the search. Happy hunting!

Being spiritual does not mean that you have to follow a religion, it can just mean that you believe in a God, Goddess, Jesus, higher power, nature, your own soul, spirit, etc. Many people are spiritual but not religious due to dogma, beliefs that don’t match 100% with any known religion and finding their own inner truth and wisdom that is more valid in their own relationship their spirit and creator if the believe in one.
Look within your own heart and soul to find out what is best for you. Usually when you start to leave religion behind, you begin a new journey of self discovery, awareness and inner spirituality that is richer and stronger connection to what you truly believe in to live a fuller and richer life.

You have to figure out what it is about the religions that drove you away. Is it the structure of the worship? Is it the hypocrisy of the members? Do you have a problem believing what you are told to believe? What is the problem?
Do you believe in GOD? If so, then why not continue to read and study the Bible. You do not have to belong to a religious group to do that. I think that many people are ruined by some organized religions when people see the hypocrisy. It weakens their faith.
Don't give up on GOD whatever happens! Pray for guidance.

I believe in God I am not religious because it is to carnel(man-made)we are spiritual,God is spirit, love and everything; religions are made up by man each to his own beliefs although I do not believe in religion makes me nontheless one with God,hoping that i am stating this right but do not remember Jesus being religious,we are to try to be like Him and I dont think He would choose a building or a certain belief to let us know how much He loved us He died for us,He left the word for us as a blueprint to life

By religion I presume you mean one of the "Big Three." Try a non-religion religion like Taoism or Buddhism that allow you to lead a spiritual life without the dogma. Or just think about God - that is good enough.

My question to you would be then why do you not believe? Or is it one particular religion or is it all religion in general?
Do you have a belief in God still or not at all and why.?
Maybe you haven't found what suits you personally. I know I searched many religions but I have a always had a deep believe in God but not always in certain religions.
You have to go with what fits you.Good luck on your spiritual search..

There is always the best choice. Believe in God and His Son Jesus Christ. God does not want you to follow religion. Religion breaks His Commandments or did you not know this.
Jesus Christ said that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He did not say to run to a building that practices religion and follow them.
Go to your best friend, your Bible and stay there. Trust God and have a beautiful life.><>
