A good question as that is what Bush has negotiated with Mexico and Canada. http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=14965
We all better start thinking about what this is going to mean as it has already been signed.

Since 1815 til about 2001 Canada and the Us had the longest undefended border in the world, then 9/11 happened, bush and the american government got paranoid, blamed Canada for all the terrorists, when in fact they came from inside the us , florida and bye bye undefended border.

It worked pretty well for almost 200 years up here , the occasional illegal, but because of Mexico and their illegals Canada got screwed because what the us does to Mexico they have to do to Canada.

If we opened the borders, all Hell would break loose. The U.S. government would be hanging on by a thread. We can't afford to support Mexico, along with our own country.

To the guy that asserts Houston is a sanctuary city it truly is not!!!!! exceeded in 2006 or starting up of 2007 at the same time as someone is now arrested in Harris county They examine their immigration prestige.regardless of in the journey that they are arrested on in simple terms site visitors or minor crimes. yet as I stated this replaced into in simple terms exceeded i imagine in early 2007 after an unlawful immigrant killed a police officer. yet i'm suprised that this guy wasn't deported earlier as even earlier 2007 if someone commits criminal they frequently checked their immigration prestige and deported them so i do not recognize in simple terms one which slipped via the device i guess. And if he replaced into arrested the former situations in 1st viscount montgomery of alamein county their device per chance diverse and it really is the reason.

we have had open borders for many years many illegals have come to our country and terrorists so what is the point of the question you ask? YOu should ask what would happen if we actually closed the borders and turned people away for once!

Instead of 800,000 illegal people coming here we would be getting 1.5 million a year. Things would be so much worse. I hope the borders don't open up. I would have to move to Canada or Ireland.

education and services in countries that give those to poor people would first be ruined for the natives, then would cease to be given, exacerbating the divide between rich and poor and exacerbating other social tensions. War would be rampant.

We would get a new, young, FREE workforce who pays taxes. We are in the age were there are more baby boomers than there are working young people to support them.

If we opened the boarders, we would effectively solve this problem.

You should really look at Americans' Roots. WE ARE IMMIGRANTS.

For Mexico and Mexicans nothing would change, but the Americans would have so much more to benefit due to all the agriculture and rich soil in the southern states of Mexico, and not to mention so much marjuana that would soon be legalized and taxed like tobacco. The property value and land would soon become a major issue.Somehow I think that wages would still be different in certain areas.Mexico has more to lose than the US.Let's leave it the way it is.What's ours is ours and whats yours is ours.
