the age of 30 is when a man can become a teacher (rabbi) per the mosaic laws. Jesus could not violate this requirement for rabbinical ordination.

well... his minsitry didn't really start until he was baptized, and there aren't really any historical accounts of jesus as a child, only when he was in the church and mary and joseph asked him where he was, cause they left him... and jesus answers, i am at my fathers house.
i cant tell you why not, but im guessing cause no one thought it was anything...
if someone tells you that a child from a normal family is gonna grow up to be a huge political leader, and he's working as a plumber, are you gonna write every move he makes?
of course it was also god's perfect timing for the ministry.

The Bible doesn't tell us why, but Jesus did teach even as a child in the synagogue, and observers were absolutely amazed at his knowledge.
Luke 2:46 Well, after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers and listening to them and questioning them. 47 But all those listening to him were in constant amazement at his understanding and his answers. 48 Now when they saw him they were astounded, and his mother said to him: “Child, why did you treat us this way? Here your father and I in mental distress have been looking for you.” 49 But he said to them: “Why did YOU have to go looking for me? Did YOU not know that I must be in the [house] of my Father?”

well, i was going to say jesus saw merely a repetition of horus, mithra, saturn, all the pagan messiahs, but since you said "biblical answers only" i wont burst the bubble around your illusion of reality.

He waited until it was His time. He agreed on doing a miracle before His time at the wedding when His mother asked Him to help out when the wine was gone in the wedding.
