The last day to complete the FAFSA for the 2006-2007 year is June 30, 2007 but most schools will not like you waiting until after the year is over to complete it and you must be in school when the loan is applied for but again they don't want you waiting until the last day. If you want a FAFSA student loan I would apply now and let the financial aid office know you are applying as well as the office that is chasing you down for money.

The sooner you file the more chance you have to get financial aid....So don't wait till the last minute. Also each college sets their own time of when they need to have the FAFSA on file....So check your particular college....Most colleges set a deadline sometime in February.

You'll want to submit it as soon as possible. The sooner you get it in, the more money will be available to you because most financial aid is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Check your college's website to see when their Priority Financial Aid deadline is, because it might be soon (mine is Feb. 1).
