I have a Sanyo Cinema Progressive DVW-7100A DVD and VHS player... Well the other day my 2 year old was pushing buttons and now I cannot get the DVD part to work! It's a blank blue screen. I've tried changing channels to see if she might have changed them but it didn't help. If I switch it to VHS and then back to DVD you can hear the DVD for about 5 seconds (and see it) before it switches over to a blue screen with no sound... Anyone know anything about DVD/VHS players and how to work them?? Thanks!!

It is quite possible that your TV does not support progressive input and the DVD player is set to progressive output.

Unplug the unit from the wall and plug it back again. If that does not help, connect the DVD to the TV using a composite cable (yellow). Check the remote, the unit itself, or the setup menu on how to disable progressive out.

examine the door to the DVDchronic carefully. once you're fortunate, you'll see a pinhole. Straighten out a paper clip and push it into the hollow. The tray will unlatch and also you will get rid of the DVD.
