I have just posted my very first question asking people to evaluate my website but I have been informed by one B-ball_ki that this constitutes breaking of Yahoo's question and answer policy.

If someone can provide some clarification about the posting of websites or what constitutes spamming I am most coachable.

It is a pity that B-ball_ki didn't take into consideration all the questions I stopped to answer along the way as well.

Nonetheless it would be most helpful if someone can provide clarification on this matter.

Thank You.

See Yahoo's Community Guidelines: http://answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines.php

The one that applies might be:

NO COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY: You may not post URLs for the purpose of directing commercial activity to a non-Yahoo! site.

I think some of it is up to the participants to interpret either rightly or wrongly. If one constantly is promoting their particular web-site like for dating or otherwise and it isn't really a source credit (sometimes that happens just because they don't like your answer or agree) then that is considered advertisement. I thought spamming meant you sent bulk e-mails to promote a product or web-site to others but not clear on the intended interpretation myself. The rules could be more self-explanatory. There doesn't seem to be a proper place to complain for a lot of abuses here in the area of profanity and verbal pornography especially.

Read the Yahoo policy yourself. It is not our job to read and interpret and type this up for you.
