Not sure that Ibuprofen has to do with getting upset or happy over a football game, but I do know that if you use too much of it, it can cause bleeding in the stomach.

Ibu is not addictive as it has already been said. Also, as it has been said, you sound depressed. If you take Ibu all the time it won't work for pain as I used to do that for my spine/arthritis problems. All pain meds are basically the same...they don't work when you take them too long.
Also, it sounds like you're having the "highs" and "lows" of being bi-polar. My friend is bi-polar and it's not something to be ashamed of. I'm not ashamed of my depression or PTSD.
Maybe being "sore" all the time is related to your lack of sleep. I have insomnia too and nothing works right now to help me sleep. But I have also suffered from Therapy Abuse (verbal) recently and that's when my insomnia started.
Please get some help. I know what its like to feel depressed and I even have crying spells for no reason and I'm on medication for my depression. It is pure hell but try...reach out and hopefully you will find a doctor you trust. Be well.

Ibuprofen does not create dependence, so it is not possible to be "addicted" to it. People who are addicted to pain killers are often addicted to drugs within the opiate (Narcotic) family-such as codine or vicodin.
However, too much ibuprofen can be bad for your overall health-you should not take more than the recommended dose on the bottle. Some side effects include: fluid retention, abdominal pain, headache, rash, kidney toxicity, liver toxicity, stroke, GI bleed, GI ulcer/perforation.

people can be addicted to anything...food, sex, anything. If you are taking pills to feel better, you need to see your doctor. You do sound like you are depressed. I am currently working as a med tech. Taking ibuprofen in large amounts can cause irrversable liver and kidney damage. You can REALLY hurt yourself. Be well and good luck

No they are not symptoms of addiction to ibuprophen. They are symptoms of depression my friend. What you need to do is seek some professional help. I know that getting help is scary, and it's really hard to feel like you are losing control. But in all reality, you are gaining control over yourself again.
