I am currently living in US with a B1/B2 stamp visa (I94 card. B2) wich expires in June. I want, during my time on US, to take these 2 courses:

http://www.unex.berkeley.edu/cat/course964.html (8 meetings, 2hours per meeting).

and

http://www.unex.berkeley.edu/cat/course471.html (10 meetings, o hours per meeting).

Can I take those 2 courses?.

Thank you.

I don't want to contradict the US Customs person, but I haven't found that to be true at all. As long as your main intent is for business (B1) or tourism (B2), you can take part time classes from most schools. At the last school I worked at, we had about 5 B visas taking one or two classes for a semester. We never let them take more than that, nor did we let them take classes more than one semester.

However, I will agree that some people may be a lot stricter with their interpretations of the B categories. If you're ever planning to apply for Permanent Residency, don't ever go into that "gray" area. If you want to study, come back on an F just to be safe.

Absolutely not. On a B1/B2 visa, you are a visitor and nothing more. You can take no classes in higher education. First of all, the college should not allow you to enroll, but if they do and you get caught, we can cancel your visa, deport you and not allow you to apply for another visa, effectively barring you from the US. Please, don't do it.

I think the US has a website for the abv guidelines.
Do go to ''google'' and type US visa..... and maybe one of the sites will provide u with an answer.
