I go to Church every Sunday, Im new in this town so I just joined this Church a few months ago me and my husband. You know when the Pastor asks you to hug your neighbor or whatever some people won't even speak to you much less hug you they act like you got leprosy or something. Come on my christian sisters and brothers we are suppose to be so loving and kind to each other. What's going on? And those God forbidden family clicks! You'll need to stop that is why a lot of people are atheist, look how you'll act toward people, don't want the new members to join the choir, you'll got that locked down and some of you'll can't even sing.Im seriously thinking about leaving my church because of people like you, I call you Church Clickers. You supposed to love everyone that come through those doors and mean it not that phoney love but agape love.(if you even know what that is)

Sad to say, dear, that most churches today have gone apostate, meaning that they have abandoned the truth of God's word and have made their churches into social clubs where devoted members of the church take over and run the whole shibang, so don't let what happened to you and your husband at that church that surprise you. It's not the ONLY church where there are clicks - they're a dime a dozen today. Instead of most churches today preaching the word of God and the members hearing the sermon, they're competing to see who can be most popular and/or who can be the church 'big shot' and run the show. Thankfully, my church isn't like that. Our congregation is very small, sadly, but nonetheless, we're still born again and know Christ as our Savior, so I'm not worried. :D Remember this too, that not everyone that says they're 'Christian' are Christian. It's one thing to say "I'm a Christian", but it's a WHOLE other thing to LIVE as a Christian. :D Remember this too, that being a Christian isn't all about being 'huggy-huggy' and 'kissy-kissy' with everyone. As Christians, we serve the Lord - NOT each other!

Don't give up. Remember, everyone in church is not of god. Those individuals that you are speaking of could be new, or newly born again, which means it will take time. Just be sure that you and your husband focus on what the Lord has brought you there for and keep your faith in him and when the time is right, he will allow the paths that he has set forth for you to cross. Do not lose your focus by church hoping, you are there for a reason. Try that before you try another church, because generally people are the same everywhere. You are the only person that you are in control of. Remember, you are accountable for you and God is watching.

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. Isaiah 42

When a Christian is looking for a Church in their area they need to go before the Throne of God and ask Him to lead the way. He will if you want.

Because a church is down the street and has a sign on it that says this or that about God does not make it a place of worship.

So many churches are around today. They are like the speedy mart or gas station on every corner. Come in and pay and go away fast as you are blocking the way for the next sucker in line. sound familiar to you.

You do not need to go anywhere to worship God. God is with you everywhere you go. Just stop sometime and say thank you Father for the love you provide me through Your Son Jesus Christ.

Most of the people that go to church are practicing churchianity and not Christianity.

Well. Being a Christian myself, I can see where you are coming from.
Christians are supposed to be warm and friendly, true. However, christians are still just people. Many, many people are shy and don't know how to talk to people.
At least that's how I am.

If things don't change, try a different church. But before you do so, make sure that you are putting in the same amount (or more) effort into making friends that you would like them to. I'm sure that once you get to know them, you'll see agape.

Good Luck!

I attend Calvary Chapel in Tucson, Arizona, and I have to say most people I have met there are very nice godly people. Additionally, Calvary Chapel teaches out of the bible with a literal view. I know there is at least one Calvary Chapel in Phoenix you might try. Somewhere on Glendale Ave. if I remember correctly. If it is anything like the Calvary I go to, it may be just what the doctor ordered. If the Calvary in Phoenix is as big as the one in Tucson, I'd warn you that you have to actively become involved in some of the smaller miniseries (such as women's bible studies, marriage studies, singles studies, whatever applies). If you don't become involved in some of the smaller groups, you can get lost in the crowd. It is hard to make friends in a situation when 1,000 people are worshiping each service. I will be praying that you find you place in the body. God bless!

Most people just play church. If you are in a church like that then God is probably not there in the midst. God commands us to love one another. If people don't read the Bible, or they are not being taught that then they are just there for show.

I've seen some of that. It's not right but they're just human, after all.
Forgive & pray for them.
Doesn't sound like you're being accepted into that particular "flock".

You could try and show them their errant ways (in kindness...with love). Perhaps He put you there for this purpose.

That or seek another congregation that is willing to accept you.

Ask for His guidance and go as you are lead.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

God bless.

Amen!! It is time for believers ever to step up and truly closely follow the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. Love your neighbor!! We just had a sermon about this. . We listen to these sermons, read the bible and sing hyms about doing things that Jesus would do, but we don't do them? Why not?? Jesus told us to!! And He said that if we really love Him we will follow His commands.. So, my sisters and brothers, step up and decide to live for Him, with Him and like Him!!! Thank you and Good night.

I have to agree with you, that is why I do not go th church. A lot of Christians are very rude so self centred, and have this holy than thou art attitude which I cannot stand. In fact they make me sick. Jesus would call a lot of them hypocrites,
