children should not eat sushi or undercooked fish dishes such as ceviche, which is "cooked" with lemon or lime juice. Bacteria and viruses that can be tolerated by healthy adults or have minor effects on them can make children seriously ill.

I would recommend a Sushi with just vegetables. There shouldn't be a problem giving it to them anytime. I have an asian friend who feeds her 2 small kids (3 & 10months) sushi made with veggies and some cooked meats.

As long as the sushi doesn't contain raw meat, you can feed it to them any time. My 16 month old child eats rice, veggies, cooked shrimp...so I'd let him have a cucumber roll for sure. I'd just make sure to cut it up so they wouldn't choke since the rice is kind of sticky.
In fact, I may just try this soon since you brought it up! I'm always looking for new foods to introduce and I love sushi. Thanks!

once you are able to believe them to rigidity. the in trouble-free words element is they ought to have a cellular telephone to allow you to recognize even as they arrive when you consider that they could't get in to the Bar to allow you to recognize they are there. a number of those people fairly get my goat! i recognize those who've owned bars and their youthful little ones truly grew up putting on the bar and grew to grow to be out only tremendous. only reason someone would drink would not cause them to an fool, or a lower than the impact of alcohol, or a nasty figure. I worked at one bar the position the bartenders youthful little ones were given off the bus on the bar and would dangle obtainable till their dad got here from artwork and picked em up, so about 2-3 hours an afternoon. they'd as we communicate are available and sit down at a nook table to do college artwork (that they had more suitable tutors than any baby could imagine, the finished waitstaff would help in the experience that they mandatory it). They realized the eating position/bar corporation, they spoke o.k. when you consider that they frolicked with adults in conversations, they were kick a$$ pool gamers, and they were no longer stricken youthful little ones in any respect.

NEVER! Raw fish is LOADED with all kinds of parasites and bacteria! Liver flukes and roundworms are the most common, but tapeworms are also in abundance. Just check out this site and see how a real sushi-lover attempts to "de-parisite" his food (as much as he can).
Ummm....you know, over 500,000 yrs. ago Homo erectus discovered this amazing thing called FIRE! It kills parasites and prolongs life!
And here we are...the supposed "wise man" (homo sapiens), eating RAW FISH, like idiots!!!!
Go ahead, do it, but just don't force it on your poor kid! If you want them to get "raw" fish taste, give 'em lox...it's smoked and the parasites are killed, but you still get that slithery, raw fish feeling!

you can't... i wasn't given raw fish till i was about 8 or 9.. and only one slice, and never after 8 pm. it's not right... his stomach still doesn't have the necessary acids to break down raw fish.
if you're in a japanese restaurant with him, they have this mango and egg sushi... he might like that.

Somewhere between 1 and 3 years old. Now, if you had asked about feeding sushi to humans in general, I would have to go with the piercing theory, when they're old enough to want it.
(Sushi isn't the Devil...Dick Clark is, duh!)
