A french fry is a potato that has been sliced and fried in hot oil. A potato falls into the category of tuber. Tubers are vegetables grown under the ground. Therefore, a french fry is indeed a vegetable.

French fries are made from potatoes cooked in various oils. Potatoes are vegetables made in different ways such as fried, baked or boiled potatoes and even potato chips (many flavors). I agree that there is a question about French fries because they are fried food. This type of food is quite unhealthy. If you just must fry foods, use olive oil. It is attested to in the Holy Bible. You know what you need to do to follow the food groups so as to maintain your health. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless

French Fries - Vegetables - potatoes.
But what you cook it in is not a vegetable and can sometimes not be good for you. It all depends on what you cook it in.

Of course. Like traditional french fries (made from potatoes), you can also fry other startchy veggies like sweet potatoes & yams, parsnips, beets and carrots. Fry them a little longer and you get chips. If you've never had sweet potato fries in particular, you are missing out!!!

French fries arent vegetables because the manufacturer makes them with potatoes. A potato is a crop! :D

Technically yes, they are potatoes.
But they're deep fried in oils/lard, not good for you at all.

I would classify a fry as a vegetable with about as much confidence as I would classify a maracshino cherry as a fruit.
