Definitely leaning toward atheism. At least half the time I identify myself as an atheist, just because writing out the entirety of my belief niche takes too long. That's why we invented short-hand.

Im a long-term agnosic, and I dont lean either way; thats what makes a person an agnostic. I can see where religion is obviously man-made, securing the power of the Church over the common people with the rituals, the forced belief, the tithing, the threat that if you dont believe everything you're told, you will "burn in hell forever".
On the flip side, tho, I cant see how the Atheists make sense of everything either. The simplest life form is far too advanced to have happened by accident, and are we just a pile of amino acids and proteins? Where did "life" come from? What is consciousness?
I think Agnostics are the most open-minded religious people; we *admit* we dont know, buy we're open to all possibilities. When you get right down to it, we will all find out one day, buy we will be unable to share that knowledge.

I am not agnostic, but rather a gnostic. A gnostic is one who seeks knowledge and truth. I have experienced too many wonders in my lifetime to believe that there is nothing beyond this life. In fact, I don't really believe this is our true life. I believe that this is more like a school where we come to learn about hardship and misery. We choose our subject and then come here to learn. There isn't much in this physical life that is good. No matter how happy we can be, there is always a new problem that we will have to overcome. But, as Neitzsche said, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. That's my point. We come here because it isn't easy. Otherwise, what would we learn?

I like this question because it makes people think about their belief structures without having to deal with all the 'religious' folks out there. Thanks, D

I've been an Agnostic since I was 13. I'm kinda leaning towards believing in something, though I couldn't tell you what. Definitely not the Christian god, though. I tend to side with Atheists in debates just because I agree with them on more points than I do Theists.

Leaning towards the dark side. As more and more religious people open their mouths to try to defend their versions of God (all contradicting each other), it starts to make it more evident that there is no God.

I'm a long term agnostic. I tend to believe that there is a spiritual dimension to life, but I am not certain that it is best expressed by religion.
