What is that monitor called? The one that shows the life status of the patient? What is that tube or thing called? The thing that is inserted into the arm, forearm? I am writing a story and there's a scene with a patient inside a recovery room? The character was in an accident and is recovering. What would be beliavable and simple that she would have on her or around her?

A recovery room has hospital beds, nurses and doctors, same as the rest of the hospital.
The monitor is usually an EKG (electrocardiogram) for monitoring heart rate, pulse and breathing.
The "tube" usually holds an IV (intravenous) solution dispensed directly into the vein to keep the patient hyrdrated and to make it easy to dispense drugs/medication.
Depending on her injuries, she'd have on a hospital gown, an ID tag on her wrist and blankets around her.
The bandages and/or accessories would be up to your imagination.

Heart monitor and an IV

Oh, and there are other beds/stretchers in the recovery room with curtains that can be drawn around each bed to give the patient his/her privacy. There is also a nurses desk in the center.

there are no windows and there are no chairs since visitors are not allowed.

However, recovery rooms are used for patients who have just come out of surgery. Not for ones recovering from a car accident. If they are in serious condition, then they would be put in the ICU Intensive care unit until they are stabilized.

What is that monitor called? The one that shows the life status of the patient?: EKG/ECG, and O2 monitor. Sometimes combined into the same machine, shows the heart-rate and oxygen saturation of the blood.

The thing that is inserted into the arm, forearm?: IV (Intravenous). Let's you put chemicals directly into the bloodstream.

The most common things someone in an accident would have on them would be:

- Oxygen mask or nose plugs given oxygen
- An EKG showing the heart rate
- An IV running into the arm
- A catheter running from their bladder to a urine bag beside the bed (when they pee, it goes into the bag for analysis)

An area of the hospital where patients go after a surgery. I looks just like an ICU and is staffed by ICU nurses. They make sure that you wake up properly and have no medical complications. The family cannot visit you in the recovery room.

I'm a nurse. It's called a monitor. This shows your heart beat (EKG), pulse, and the oxygen level. People usually have a IV in along with medication and/or sometimes antibiotics. I think I mentioned everything. Take care.
