I am the master of spiral curls lol and I suggest a 1/2 inch curling iron and as you are doing you hair do small pieces at a time and before you curl a piece spray a littlehair spray on it so the curls will stay in :) Works wonders for me but it can take awhile if you have a lot of hair..... BUT another way which takes less time which I do every day is....
Use a bigger curling iron about 1 inch... blow dry your hair upside down to add more volume to it... Curling enough hair to fit the curling iron at once.... usually smaller pieces on the top layers so it will look better, but the bottoms layers dont really need to be perfect because you dont really seem them... Once you are down hold your head upside down and spray hair spray on it and shake it around a lil till it dries.... this adds more volume to it :)

if you don't have "naturally curly hair" there's no way you can achieve it without rollers or a curling iron. The best thing to use is a big curling iron. before you curl your hair, apply styling wax on the strands, blow dry then curl, it will give you loose curls that will lock throughout the day.

It depends on your hair type on how to curl your hair. If your hair is thick then you might want to put your curling iron on a higher setting, but if you hair is thin try a lower setting. I dont think there is a way to curl your hair without anything.

you could always try using one of those skinny straightners and use wrapping the hair around the straightener or curling iron.
if you use a curling iron try using a bigger curling iron, but make sure it is a good brand like vidal sasson or one you can buy from a beauty store. if you get a cheap one it won't work as well. but wrap your hair around the curling iron. depending on your hair either use one inch or two inch sections of your hair.

use a curling iron. instead of putting your hair in the iron, try taking a medium section and wrap it around the iron. that way the curl will look natural. them mist with hair spray.

when your hair is damp, braid them into big braids or you can french braid your hair and then sleep in them. when you take out the braids you'll have wavy hair!
