There are lots of people out there that want to see the movie but don't have the money to buy or rent it. Why doesn't Mr. Gore do all he can to help the environment and give away the movie to people like that so that more people can see it.

but dehbee, hasn't he already recovered his initial cost of making the movie. This is for the environment, after making his money back, I don't see why he can't help us out.
And, there are a lot of people out there not associated with a school that still deserve a chance to see this, don't they?

Your library probably has the book and the DVD. And Gore's film company has offered to give away hundreds of free copies to school districts that want them. If your school doesn't have a copy, ask them why not.

Because he doesn't own it. Paramount Pictures does. He just "acted" in it, probably for free. Getting it made and distributed involved a lot of money, the people involved had to get a major movie studio to finance it.

In my area there are a few public viewings of the movie. Your library could even have the book or the movie to borrow. He also has a website you could visit if you want to know more.

Mr. Gore is afraid that if he gives out free copies of his movie people will be so disgusted that they will demand their money back.
