I think before you ask someone on a date, you should be attracted to them first...well, I know I would...
Looks are the first impression...if you weren't satisfied with with the way they looked, u wouldn't pursue them.
Ultimately, it is what is inside the person that really counts and it shouldn't matter what they look like but honestly, would you be able to kiss someone who was ugly? I wouldn't be able to...

Well, it does play a big role, but then it usually wears out fast if the person has no personality. I used to date this really hot and muscular guy with no brains. I got annoyed and dumbed him after a few months. Looks attracts, but keep in mind, personality is what makes them stay.

I think it's an important factor in whether or not you may like someone, just like if they're funny or not, intelligent, boring, etc... It's probably just so high profile because that is the first thing you notice about someone before you can get to know them and discover their personality.

i think it does play a certain role in a relationship. For me, I look for chemistry and whether they are another feel in the relationship before i get into the physical part.

dude, it's important. Why would you wanna be going out wih somone that you werent attarcted to? You wanna be able to look at the person and like what you see. :]
