Scripture specifically speak against being drunk.
Eph 5:18
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
NIV
It is not specific in regard to smoking. If we understand that smoking is detrimental to ones health, though, I think this verse can be understood to speak against smoking.
1 Cor 6:19-20
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
NIV

The Bible says, in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, that your body is not your own, that you have been bought with a price, that being Christ's blood, so you do not have the right to abuse your body with smoking, drinking, drugs, illicit sex, etc. Your body is God's temple, He wants to live there, and He can't live there if there is so much other junk in your body.

It is not a sin to drink no matter what any bible thumper says. It is a sin to be 'drunken'. So as long as you control yourself, you're ok. The same would probably have to apply to smoking. If you smoke a bit here and there, no prob. But you smoke yourself into Emphysema, well, that is not so good.

The bible only says that you should not lose your self control. It mentions many times of all of them drinking wine, which may or may not have been as strong as the wine we have. But also mentions how Noah got drunk and passed out naked and was found by his son and how God was very angry with him. The bible advises to be careful about it but to my knowledge never comes out and blatently says "no, don't do it". God told us in the bible that he expects us to keep our self control, and if we are addicted to anything, including ciggarettes, we have lost control over that part of ourselves. You also have to remember, if you are a christian, that your testimony is a very important part of your life. If you take a friend to church who is lost and try to be an example to him and win him to Christ, but you guys go out the next night and get hammered, you've just confused him and have now become one of the hypocrites. Even though it's not a sin, it is related to that sinful life. God will let you know what he expects your personal boundaries to be, you just gotta listen.

Dont know about smoking apart from "know you not that you are the temple of god and the holy spirt dwells within you" SINCE that is the case i dont think we should pollute the temple...
And DRINKING....ROMANS 14-21.....It is good neither to eat flesh,nor to drink wine, nor anything whereby thy brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.......Smoking makes the lungs weak so may also fall under that scipture..
