Isn't he "omnipotent?" Isn't he "good?" If he can make a race of self destructive creatures by himself (humans, namely), why won't he feed a couple of poor Africans?

Because you cannot have good without bad. God could erase all bad things but doesn't. Why do children die if there is a God? Cause he let's it all play out and does not interfere. (Sometimes, I think he helps a bit here and there)

But if God solved all people's problems, life would not be worth living.

Probably the better question is: If we recognize that all people have worth and value, why aren't we feeding a couple of poor Africans? God has provided an incredible planet capable of producing huge amounts of food. We have our fill and more in the US. It seems hard for me to blame God for starving people.

Each of us creates our reality individually. The reason there are so many starving people in africa is because they are born into societies that have beliefs that do not serve them. Comparatively, not many people are starving in Beverly Hills, because they are born to beliefs that help them.

Thoughts are creating our experience. A belief is a thought that is thought over and over again. We can tell if a thought is to our benefit by how we feel. =)

Yes, God is omnipotent and good. Everything he does has a purpose even if WE cant see it ourselves.

Did you know in the bible that one of the sons of Noah was "Black"? He cursed him and all the generation of ****** to come. I can't think of EXACTLY why at the moment but the origin of Africans starving was probably from the Bible

Also wouldnt you think our world would be a utopia if God and do just that? Wouldnt you think the whole world would be perfect?
Well, blame it on Adam and Eve (well Adam since in the Bible Adam IS Adam and Eve)

Not saying that your notion is corrupted. I tolerate any opinion

In the beginning God completely sustained His creation without blemish. That’s why it was perfect. He held every atom together in a perfect state. He kept the planets in their orbits. He kept animals from tripping and breaking their necks. He did not allow people to suffer and die.
Deuteronomy 8:4 gives us a little glimpse of how things might have been in the original creation. “Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.” God is omnipotent and perfectly capable of sustaining and protecting his creation.
When Adam sinned, however, the Lord cursed the universe. In essence there was a change and along with that change God seemingly took away a little bit of his sustaining power and allowed things like suffering and death into His creation. Now He permits bad things to happen—and this is a reminder that sin has consequences and that the world needs a Savior. Romans 8:22 says, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”
God took pleasure in all of His creation ("http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?passage=revelation+4:11&version=NKJV"), but He loved people most of all. He allowed the created universe to deteriorate so we would see the consequences of our sin. If we did not see the consequences of our sin, we would never see that we need salvation from our sin, and we would never accept His offer of mercy for our sin. Most people easily recognize that there is a problem in the world. This can be used to show them that there is one who has overcome this problem of death and suffering—Jesus Christ

When Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden, they sinned. As a result the people of the earth had to face consequences. God is good. He gave Adam and Eve everything. They were not satisfied. They wanted what was forbidden. They were warned just as we are warned today of the wages of sin. God gives us free choice. So don't blame God. Blame Adam and Eve.

Because people like you and I fail to do what He has probably called us to do. Help others who are in need. Africa is not a good place to grow the food needed to support a heavily populated country. I'm not sure where you live, but here where I live, food is abundant. So, do we really do our part or is it easier to blame God for everything we see wrong in society?

That has nothing to do with God, it is mans fault. The USA sends them millions of dollars in aid and food, yet their government is corrupt and lets them die that way. Many years ago, the USA sent people and farm machinery there and taught them how to grow their own food, drill for water, and many other things. After many years they went back to find that after they left, the africans didn't use any of the equipment, and sat there with their hands out. So therefore it is basically their own fault.

(Matthew 24:3)

3 While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”

4 And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet.

7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be FOOF SHORTAGES and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.

The people of africa are reaping what they have sown. They chose not to turn to God and instead practice witchcraft. God will not intrude where he is not invited. He is a gentleman.

My heart hurts for Africa, I raise money for an orphanage there. I am sorry for the sorrow there. However, it is not because of God. If the people would turn to him he would intervene.
