*Sigh* I know there's never been an atheist U.S. president in history (or at least publicly known), but I think this answer I got from 006 sums my opinions up pretty well.

"America would be better off with an atheist president, because he would not give precedence to one religious affiliation over any others, and he would base his decisions purely on what is for the greater good of America, without being influenced by the prophecies of whatever religion he follows. It's no coincidence that the Bible calls for the re-establishment of Israel and our unilateral support for that country which has different laws for different races (something which is totally un-constitutional).

God did not choose GWB to lead this nation, we the people did, for better or for worse. "

Thanks 006 :).

What do you people think?

It would never happen, people are not tolerant enough to vote for a person who has no religious beliefs. The majority still think if you don't worship God, you have no morals. Any good president should be able to set aside his religious beliefs to run a country. Religion has nothing to do with common sense that politician's should have, and so very rarely do.

First you'll discover an athiest President once maximum human beings not affiliate themselves with one certain faith. once the polls educate that 80+% of the country declare they don't look affiliated with a faith someone will run for president. however as long as human beings save claiming they are religious then the presidents will declare faith. Do you somewhat imagine ninety% of the country are somewhat christians??? I doubt it As for Israel. There are seperate regulation when you declare Israeli citizenship and those that do not. It has not something to do with race. The Jews and Arabs are the same race. The Black Jews in ISrael are treated and problem to the regulation similar as non-Black Jews. that's a shame that folk save taking section in the race card evewn at the same time as they dont understand what the race card is. let me allow you to in on a touch secret. those human beings in us of a who're right here illegally or do not declare US residency/citizenship are treated in a unique way less than regulation. the most important distinction is that you'll finally end up kicked abroad. also if you're convicted of violating the guidelines, after serving time in a State reformatory you're problem to serve as a lot as 5 years in federal reformatory because you broke the regulation. not for any certain regulation basically because you broke the regulation. As for the structure. that's an American document. It governs the U. S. not the different u . s . a .. Israel isn't problem to the structure of the U. S.. If we bumped off help from each and every u . s . a . that doesn't save on with the structure we may be an Isolationist u . s . a .. further, the U. S. sends the same volume of help to just about each and every arab u . s . a . contained in the international. because w do not favor to be unfair. SO for each F-16 we promote to Israel we also promote one to Egypt, Saudi, Jordan, (used to promote to Sryia, Iraq, and Iran) Indonesia etc. SO for each a million plane bought to Israel there are a minimum of 5 bought to the arabs. for this reason your implications that Israel receives a much better deal than the Arab countries you're incorrect and deceptive the readers.

absolutely yes, the usa would be better off seperate chuch and state, leave all the crazy religion garbage to the crazy people that believe in the most absurd ludacris notions that an invisible man that lives in the sky that noone can see can perform completely unrealistic things, it shocks me that people actually believe that crap...just plain crazy, if you are that crazy then youve got no business trying to run a household much a country, ask a muslim,a buhdist,a hindu, i could go on and on some even believe that trees are the mindcontrollers, if they were in office christians would say they are crazy, whos right, drop it all and forget about it and live life and be kind to each other, so the answer is yes america would be better off without a looney that believes in ghosts or whatever, someone that has a little sense, and thats not george w

Personally, I want a secular government, and I don't think it's necessary to have the president proclaim a particular faith or lack there of to share the same commitment. John Kerry is Roman Catholic yet supports a woman's right to choose.

The fact is politicians are always checking which way the public winds are blowing. Just watch what Mitt Romney is doing right now. I'll give more weight to policies, history and advisers before religion, so long as it's not something too fringey.

There are not many countries left in the world where you can play the faith card for votes and get away with it. The US is one. Maybe the next time anyone tries the wholesome, Bible-hugging, God-fearing tack, the all-powerful polls should take a noticeable dive and the message will eventually get home that a person's faith, or lack of, is definitely not an election issue. The world has moved on.

Since we Americans choose the President, your question would probably be better phrased as "Would America be better off if most of the country are Atheists?" I would say yes only if the world achieved energy independence, peace, no starvation, and most diseases were eradicated. The only society I've seen do this was on STAR TREK: The Next Generation.

why whats wrong with a Satanic one,
and what makes you think the people elected the president or any of them ,then please explain why 34 presidents and a lot of other world leaders are all related to the house of Charlemagne ,and Charles the great ,dont try to tell me that this is a coincidence

the leadership is a genetic clan and presidents are installed

the politics and the voting is a circus for the sake of the public.
why is Bush related to the Queen of England ,explain that to me .why are the Clintons related to the Rothchilds explain that
all the colonies were left in the hands of blood relations of the crowns that were involved ,when they got their socalled independence

in Mexico the house of Salinas is related to the queen of Spain and to a wealthy powerfull Roman family called Salinus ,and for 500 years they have been behind the government ,even though the parties changed the power behind the scenes did not

why are all the world leaders related ,and why do they marry with in their own bloodline

and why are they all high degree masons ,who worship the God Moloch although they are Christian leaders
why
why
why
so dont try to sell us that the people elected the presidents ,that is an outright lie and everybody who is not brainwashed knows this

Yes, America would be better off with a president that doesn't lean toward any particular religion. From the beginning, church and state were supposed to be separate. That's why churches don't have to pay taxes. The last time we mixed politics with religion, people were burned at the stake.

Ron Reagan Jr. was asked if he would run for president. He said he cant because he is an Atheist and people wouldn't vote for him.
It's a shame people won't vote for the person who would make the better president because their beliefs are not what some would feel as "correct."

We've had atheist and agnostic presidents several times, although all of them kept quiet around elections about it. From a historical perspective, these are some of the best presidents we've ever had...
