Or would you give up your religion

I never said I could prove it. And if I could would it be so easy to persuade people that I had proved it or would they still blindly follow what has been instilled into them since birth

I answered your last question. To this I give you the same basic answer.

You cannot even prove to me undeniably that my parents did not exist, what hope have you of anything more?

Your lack of understanding has enabled you to enter the realms of foolishness.

Is it just a game to you, an academic exercise in mathematical logic? If it is only academic, God can be easily proved.

Again I urge you, seek God for yourself and your understanding will be enlarged.

Edit :
If it is excercise in logic that you require look through Praynographer answer. It has some rather obvious flaws in his reasoning, see if you can spot them.

The ***PRAYNOGRAPHER***will now in lighten you. One does not have to prove something that is not there. Thought is not proof. God is not a fact. Those that say their god is based on facts need help. People like to think there is a god. This does not make it so.Once upon a time many thought the world was flat, and many believed it. Just because they believed it ,didn't make it so did it ? The existence of a god has not been proved.something that can not be proved, is therefore disproved. This god was inflicted by men onto the less educated of them in order to control them in big groups. It has worked up to this time and point in our history. If one needs a god like figure to lead them as a dog on a leash, then we should not make fun of weak minded beings. We should treat them as we would all other handicapped creatures on this great planet of ours. The ***PRAYNOGRAPHER***has spoken .Listen or be lost, and no I am not a god.I just have more sense then you do.

I was brought up in a hard line religion where children are brainwashed from infancy. We were taught that man is made in gods likeness, but , seeing what people are capable of doing to each other and the hatred which can be seen between religions and individuals i cannot believe there is a god never mind one which would be of any use to mankind.

Having previously been raised as a catholic if it was proved I would see sense and not believe, however these days I have a hard time believing anyway, and for some people being groomed at an early age its practically impossible to change their mind.

then that would make us God. At least in terms of us being able to decide what we wanted with our life. So I'd say if that could actually be proved it would be quite liberating, so awesome, in fact, that I bet people would call it a God-like feeling.

No, if it was proved that God did not exist I would not believe in him, but I am undecided about the whole religious thing anyway.

My faith is based on facts, so if it was proved undeniably that god did not exist, then I would not believe.

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Your point:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's point:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?
