I don't know what my hair type is: dry/normal/straight, except that I know I have a lot of dandruff (I try to use dandruff shampoo regularly), my hair is damn straight and very thick (I mean each hair strand), and fails to settle down and groom whenever I have short hair (presently: medium sized). I want to buy a conditioner to make my hair soft, thin and silky, and reduce the unwanted volume and bounce, forcing it to settle down. Please advise.

Your hair is dry and if you put for oil products in your hair, it will weight it down and make it appear thinner. Just down put too much oil in. I recommend olive oil (you need it for moisture). You will need some type of serum like Biosilk to put in your hair, then run a blowdryer through it. Part it in sections before you do.

I recommend you go to a PROFESSIONAL salon and get your hair done; they can tell you everytihng you need to know, and style it for you too.
