hey! okay so i was at the mall today and there was this little stand in the middle of the mall and they were demostrating hair straightning, and the brand of this straightner was corioliss and they showed me how to curl my hair with this straightner as well, so now i got home and tried curling my hair with MY straightner and it wont work. does only that certain straightner curl hair or will any straightner do it but its just that i dont know the correct technique?

no you just have to do it the riht way.
so take a strand of hair, larger for larger curls and smaller for smaller curls. put the straightener as close to the root as you can. then turn the straitener 180 degrees towards your hair, and pull down. the faster you do it means tighter curls, and the looser vis versa.

Most other straighteners will do the same thing. If the width of the plate is an 1 1/2 inches or smaller, it should work. It took me a while to get the curling technique down, but it does work. Just play with it a little. Also, try different heat settings. I found that if I made mine hotter, the curl looked better and stayed longer.

Ok well if your staightener looks like this one:

Then you can curl your hair with it. You need to clamp your hair at the bottom and twist your hair around it and hold it for a few seconds, as they say practice makes perfect.
Here is a website which tells you the technique:

GOOD LUCK!

well it depends, if the straightener at the mall small and yours is bigger then its the size of your straightener. i have a 2' straightener so i cant curls my hair but my cousin has a 1' straightener and she curls her hair every now and then.

any straightener will do you just have to practice w/rolling it. some straighteners have ceramic on the back of them to help curl that makes it more easily.
