I will in fact right now consider, for fun, that God does exist and that He wants us to believe in what the Bible teaches. But, I currently have no predetermined conception of God. This makes me wonder, what if this God isn’t a truly loving god and a just god? What if this God is indeed an evil demon who is actually attempting to deceive us? Maybe all of existence is an illusion. Maybe 2 plus 2 does not really equal 4. Perhaps we are merely a toy that this God has created for his own enjoyment so that he can sit back and watch us war, love, persevere, or perish. It would be impossible for us to ever truly know. Therefore, what incentive do I have in which to believe??

Because of the nature of our brains, we are predisposed to believe in something. It's a necessity of brain function. Studies suggest that through repetition we can condition ourselves to believe.

Dear Farley,

I carefully read your statement and thought it was a very good sensible point. What I leaned about God is that He have already encounter questions like yours, and to be honest sometimes mine as well. How, though the Holy Spirit this how we come to know the truth about this world. If you basically ask me personally how should I perceive to know the truth? I would say to you that you have a need to know the facts.

First, read the Bible, start with the new testament, but stop when you get to Revelations, and then read the old testament. Afterward, then read Revelations. If you have any problems understanding it, pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance. When you finish don't be so quick to join a church. Build your relationship with God first, and then if you heart desire to seek a church? Remember what you had learn in the Holy Bible.

The Bible (word of God) and Churches can be two separate beliefs. If the church don't incorporate the Bible fully, you know now it is the place you don't need to be.

I want to warn you something about God that I think you need to know. Once you fully accept His truth a cross is going to be place on your shoulder, but its OK. Ask of God to please remove the cross, because He knows how heavy the wooded cross is. Once it is removed the Holy Spirit will come to you, Bless, God the Father of creator, His son our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Spiritual Ghost that's in your presence.

You'll see and learn of God in a different way. A lot will be taught to you through prayer. A church can not save you only Christ. I will keep you in my prayers.

Illusion is an act of trickery that's not real.
Demons, if you believe in them and then you already know of God.

Number one, get a bible and begin reading it. There are also tutorials out there than can help you understand it better as well. Another thing you can do is to volunteer your time with the elderly, and those who are dying. You can really get a presents of God and his ways being with them. Especially the cancer patients.
