I have been thinking about getting my hair permed. I am wondering what different types of perms there are available and what sorts of options. My hair is down to the bottom of my shoulder blades, extremely thick, and very coarse. What do you think? What do you know about perms? Any tips?

you can get a spiral perm, or one with more or less curl. Go to a salon and talk with one of the hairdressers there they can show you books of people who have similar hair and show you what it will look like.

i would say don't do it, but thats me, mostly now curly wavy hair is in, in cosmo in febuary issue coming out demistrates how to achieve this. Read on dangers of perms before hand
