She's 10, she shouldn't be flirting yet.

I have a 10 year old son, and I can tell you right now that 10 year old girls mature way faster than boys!! You didn't say how old her crush is, but if he's relatively the same age, I'm betting that no matter what you tell your daughter (in the way of flirting advice), and no matter how well she flirts, the boy won't pick up on it.

10 year old boys are not into girls... they think they're icky!! 10 year old boys like Star Wars, Lego, sports, video games, skateboarding... not girls. Maybe if she dressed up like a Storm Tropper, rode into class on a skateboard while playing a video game she'd get his attention.

Last year, a girl had a crush on my son (he was only 9, she was 10)... he really didn't "get it" at all. She followed him around like a puppy dog, and it really annoyed him and he just ignored her because he didn't know what else to do.

If her crush is older at all, first of all, while it may be cute, it also may be innappropriate. Plus a boy of 12 or 13 wouldn't be interested in a 10 year old girl (and if he was, I'd be worried!)

I think it's really sweet that your daughter has a crush (I had my first crush when I was 11, so I can relate). However, she's still a little girl, and has many years of crushes, boyfriends, heartbreak etc to look forward to. Just relax, and remind your daughter that girls mature (in this area) far sooner than boys.

Seriously, the boy will NOT pick up on any flirting she does.

Ok, she's 10 years old. Not 20!!! Giving a ten year old a flirting tip is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. So what if she has a crush......5 year olds have crushes! Would you give a 5 year old a flirting tip? No.

Honestly, parents these days......

First I don't care what any others say. Anyone who's says it wrong to flirt that young is WRONG! Anyone says it's right is WRONG! Anyone who says its wrong to flirt probably shouldn't be talking since they probably did it when they were 8. Anyone who's says it's right... well they just shouldn't talk.
Most of you who say it's wrong or right are sick! I'm sure people like you have done much worse. You don't deserve to judge others. Personally it's people like evyone in this question who make me sick and who are ruining this world's culture and society, including myself.
Really I HATE EVERYONE IN THESE DUMB ANSERS THINGS!
This is the first time I've posted and I think it might take a while to knock some sense into all of your heads. If only I could do it alone.
If you can't anser the question he made then don't. He didn't ask whether it was right or not to have his ten year old flirt. He asked for advice. NOT WHETHER IT WAS WRONG! i just hope I can get that through your heads. It's like that one saying goes. If you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all. JUST DON'T ANSWER THE QUESTION IF YOU'RE ANSWERING ANOTHER.

And why is it that anyone who DID answer the question has a lot of negatives and anyone who didn't, and merely said she shouldn't be flirting, got all positives. Answer that. It think the best answers should be based on how well they answered the question. I don't know about you but that's just me.

regrettably that's thoroughly standard in this era for 13 year olds to be having any style of sex - even if that's oral or not! yet you should genuinely not punish her for it or imagine any a lot less of your daughter because she is basically experimenting which includes her body and emotions and he or she of route appears like that's the right time for her. you should regardless of the indisputable fact that, tell your daughter that you've study the messages and also you're keen to communicate issues through which includes her if she has any complications about something. through doing this frivolously - that's going to enable her to experience more desirable open in the route of you and he or she will probable allow you to recognize more desirable about her sex existence if she is conscious you're on her aspect. i recognize this should be a terrible problem that you'll adventure and that i began having sex at a gentle age yet like I reported I felt i became waiting - you won't be able to blame your baby for feeling the way she does yet you also ought to ascertain she is chance-free at the same time as doing it. Many needs :) x

OK THEN!!!!!!! This is why we have young teen pregnancy. At 10 years old your daughter should not be getting advice about how to flirt, especially from her mother.Crushes are normal but to tell your 10 year old how to flirt is not.

Why would you be wanting to teach a 10 year old how to flirt? that is just twisted!! Let her be a kid! Have her concentrate on her school work that will get her further in life, you should check into schooling too, your spelling is like that of a 5 year old.

The best flirting tip you can give your daughter would be about confidence and self-esteem. Rather than looking outwards and expecting someone elses love/good thoughts etc. to build her up and make her happy, she needs to understand that happiness really comes from her own inside - her own feeling that she is loved by her parents no matter what.

This is the sort of confidence that any daughter should develop - or rather that any parent should strive to cultivate in their children.

Once she is confident and self-confident, then she could flirt or play or hang out with anyone she chooses - because if she values herself, she will choose valuable and worthwhile associates. She will have the self confidence to ask for what she wants - and it will not be unreasonable, because she values herself and she values the people around her.

Develop confidence and self esteem.

you are encouraging your 10 year old to flirt? That's insane. I'm sure you'll be real proud and happy when she comes home pregnant at 12.
