Well sometimes, a 30 yo guy and a 24 yo girl are the same mental maturity (sorry guys, and I know its not all the time). So maybe long term. But it also depends on the guy and the girl. If the girl is a mature career oriented girl vs party college girl!

It would depend on the circumstances. You can not answer a question of this nature generally. There's no possible way to know this knowing only the ages and where they didn't meet.
Just feel it out. Take it day by day and as soon as you think it's going in a direction you don't want (or not going where you do want it to go) break it off.
