It shouldn't be bad for your health, but the heated air can be very dry. This can be alleviated with a humidifier.

The way it recycles air, it drys it out really bad. It also holds germs, so you may need to use an antibacterial spay through it(they dry it out even more). Try humidifying it, boil water if necessary.
