Go to your local animal shelter & look around - you will surely see some interesting mixes & maybe find a new friend - & save a life! No one should purposely breed mixes when so many need homes.
I have seen several Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound mixes over the years - the most interesting one was a solid Chocolate color, and looked like a Lab with slightly longer ears & sawed off legs.

i saw a beagle/shi-tzu cross today. It was dang cute...but it looked just like a beagle with a shorter (not smushed) muzzle.
Beagles seem to be the cross breed of choice as of late. Thing is, beagles are a different sort of breed. They're hunters, not lap dogs. Most beagle mixes seem to retain that beagle quility but then have the added baggage of toy breed health problems. Not to mention they don't act like a lap dog, so they are completely misunderstood.
My opinion, if you want a beagle cross, get a beagle. You want a lap dog, then get a lap dog.

I've had a jack russell / miniature schnauzer mix, beagle / brittany spaniel mix, and an affnepinscher / who-knows-what mix. Good dogs every one, except for the miniature schnauzer mix. He was a great dog.

I have a dog named Mix because she is a mix of a black lab and a chocolate lab and she is every color labs come in from white on her belly , to Blondie, to tan, to chocolate, and is black on top.
This morning she bit one of my chickens so I scolded her. The chicken, a Black Australorp hen, and a really cool bird, is ok, but scared real bad. she hid in the woods for about 4 hours after Mix bit her.

Bug's are actually Boston Terrier/Pug mixes, and Puggles are beagle/pug mix. They're both adorable! I actually own a Pugat, although there are a couple names for his breed,LOL,but he is rat terrier and pug mix. He's very intelligent, affectionate, and full of character! :)
