I'll just be sitting down, doing nothing...then out of no where, I'll get a charlie horse (it REALLLY hurts in my thy areas)

how do i prevent these?

i also play tennis....

i can try the potassium thing but it doesnt help

I get these because I run alot, it means that you are dehydrated and need to drink more water.

Simple as that

Hi there. Your electrolytes are off. I have this problem every once in a while. On the on set of a charlie horse a banana and a glass of Gatorade will cure them. At least that is what helps me and I have gotten them so bad they drop me to my knees. Give it a try it sure won't hurt.

You need potassium. Take 99mg at bedtime. Eat bananas through the day. Also 800 mg calcium taken with 400 mg magnesium and vitamin D at bedtime is good too. I heard rubbing witch hazel helps, but I haven't tried that yet.

Your potassium is low. Bananas have a lot in them. You will have to get more potassium and it will stop.

ive been having charley horses for years.potassium don,t help,i even had my checked and it was fine.Went to the doctor and he gave me a shot,it helped for awhile then right back..I wish i knew the answer....They have some over the counter medicine for leg cramps you can try that....
