We don't really know each other that well, but for some odd reason, I feel that I really like this girl. I talk to her about different stuff on AIM, and she, for some reason or another, makes me feel special.

I say go for it. Ask her on a date and see what happens from there. The only way you'll find out more about a person is by spending time with them. And at least you've been talking on AIM already so you have an idea about her already.

No I thought that was what dating was for, getting to know each other better, & if you still are unsure, maybe do a group thing at first, like going bowling or to a movie, to see if you really like her

Of course it's weird. And it sometimes leads to other weird stuff like dating, having fun together, etc. So if you're interested in girls at all, you should go ahead and ask her out.

You have never even seen a picture of her before, thats strange? What if you meet and then find out that she isnt all that she says she is. Meeting in person is totally different from the internet... be careful..
