Try juicing 1/2 a lemon into a bowl. Get some cotton balls and apply to scarring, pimples, blemishes on you face. Leave to dry naturally. After 2 - 3 hours, wash your face with warm water. Then use a moderate of Virgin cold pressed olive oil (you'll find it in any supermarket) to your face as you would a moisturiser!! The results are absolutely wonderful. By the way, olive oil is a wonderfull natural moisturiser, chemical free, relatively cheap, but you'll have to do trial and error so as you don't make your skin too greasy. Also, keep it out of direct sunlight and store in fridge...............cheers.:)

Your skin might be sensitive, or maybe you use to much at once. I suggest AcneFree Clear Skin System. It is cheaper and affordable up to half the price of Proactiv. it can be found at most drug stores, some times on sale. It doesn't need to be shipped and has Time-Released Benzoyl Peroxide. I don't really know what it is because I'm looking at the back of the box, but I think it is one of the stronger chemicals. AcneFree Clear Skin System is time-released over the day and not all at once.

Proactiv was a little different for me. I did get darker on the cheeks and it didn't seem to help but my acne wasn't getting worse. I called to cancel and they sent a trial of their stronger formula. This helped me. I was doing that for about six months when I felt my skin burning with the stronger formula. I went back down to the regular stuff and my face still looks pretty good. The discoloration is no longer there. How long have you been on it? I'd stick with it a little longer.

the chemicals in proactive are very very harsh, people with sensitive skin (like me), can't use them. the make my skin, itchy, flaky and really interesting colours.
try using natual products, one gal recommended burt bee's, they're very nice. i'm a fan of lush products. i like coal face for oily skin (has coal in it to exfoliate and suck up oil, it's what i use) or fresh farmacy (soothing ingred. like lavender oil and calomine lotion) for dryer or normal skin types. herbalism is good as well, i used that one for a time, tho it takes more patience as it's a paste. they also have very nice tonors that don't burn or sting.

My skin got very red and dry at first but I kept using it....I guess it takes a while for your skin to get used it or something. It's working perfectly for me now...and I only have to use it once a day.

going to the dermatologist just made my face get worse b/c of all the chemicals. i switched to using burt's bees products and it's helped my face a LOT. right now i'm using the soap bark & chamomile cream cleanser. you can get it in a lot of drugstores now.
burt's bees is all natural and earth friendly and all that good stuff! : )
