She is trying to assert dominance over you. She knows that you, and your friends, are young, and therefore she thinks she has a chance of "conquering" you. She doesn't do it to adults because she senses that they're the "pack leaders".

If it annoys you, then push her on her back (GENTLY!) whenever she does it and hold her there until she stops fighting you. Then give her a belly rub. This shows that you are in fact "above" her, but petting her afterwards will show that you are still kind. Over time, doing this will let her know that she is in fact "beneath" you on the hierarchy and she will stop humping you. Also try giving her stuffed animal roughly her size to hump, so she can still feel dominant to something.

As puppies, it is pretty normal behavior. So don't worry about her being weird. They often do it while playing or trying to show dominance over another dog.
That being said, don't allow her to continue the behavior. The minute she tries to do it give her a gentle push down and tell her NO in a firm voice. If you stay consistent with the training she should be able to learn the behavior is not ok.
Good luck!

It is a dominant thing, nothing bad though. My female has been doing it since she was 8 weeks and she still does it. She is now 1.5 years and the vet says she just wants to show that she claims me! I guess I should be happy?? :)
I hope this helps, even though it is embarrasing when company comes over!!!

Female dogs do this to show dominance. She's challenging you for the dominate position in your pack. To stop the behavior you need to be consistent, firm and direc with her. Stop the behavior as soon as it starts, and give the dog a quick, calm, firm correction (such as "stop that"). Don't hit her or yell at her; dogs do not respect people who cannot control themselves.

I don't know why she humps certain people, but my dog constantly humps my other dog. they're both girls. the vet says its her way of showing she's is dominate.
